One of Ospreylia’s largest community clubs, Dunvant RFC, needs the support of everyone concerned with rugby in the region to help it secure an energy grant of £12,500.
The M&S Energy Community Fund has shortlisted the club for an energy efficiency grant, the only WRU affiliated club to make the list, and the final decision has now gone to a public vote which will run until the end of September.
If successful, the funding will ensure that the club is able to continue to provide a safe and welcoming environment for the wider community. Reducing the outgoings of the club with renewable energy will lessen the financial challenges that the club faces, and the installation of Solar PV panels at the club will reduce running costs.
Dunvant run a team at every age group from under 5's through to under 16's at junior level, youth ream, Second XV and First XV from their Broadacre home.
