Dan Evans - Record breaker!

On the eve of his record breaking 100th appearance for the Ospreys - the fastest ever in the history of the region - we pay tribute to Dan Evans.

The twice capped full-back has raced into the record books since signing from the Ospreys in the summer of 2014, already hitting a number of impressive landmarks.

On Saturday he will set a new record for the quickest ever century in the region's history, his 100th appearance coming just three years, three months and four days after his debut at the Liberty Stadium, a 44-13 over Benetton Treviso on the opening day of the 14/15 season. Incredibly that's a full four months quicker than the previous record set by Richard Fussell.

Evans at a glance:

  • Has played in every single Guinness PRO12/14 fixture since his arrival, an amazing 78 consecutive championship matches in an Ospreys shirt
  • Has been appeared in 20 out of 21 European matches that the Ospreys have played in that time, the only game missed being the final round trip to Treviso in his first season, when he was rested with the Ospreys already out of the competition
  • Set a new Ospreys record for appearances in a season during 2016/17 when he played 31 times, becoming the first Osprey to feature in 30 or more competitive games in a single season
  • His 28 tries to date place him seventh in the all time list for the region.
