Clubs urged to sign up for new season minis

The Ospreys Community Rugby department have teamed up with the Ospreys Referees Society to deliver a series of fun rugby festivals to help kick-start the new season of minis rugby.

Hosted at the region’s Llandarcy HQ throughout October, the festivals will be managed by the WRU/Ospreys Player Development staff and will see clubs from the length and breadth of Ospreylia coming together to enjoy a day of rugby in a fun and friendly festival environment, with appearances from Ospreys players at each festival.

WRU/Ospreys Regional Development Manager, Ben Rose, said the festivals will prove an ideal way to launch the new season:

“We are going to have hundreds of children coming together at the home of the Ospreys to enjoy playing rugby with their friends in a relaxed and friendly festival environment.

“We’ve run a number of festivals for clubs and schools in the region which have always gone down well and I would expect these new season events to prove equally popular. We’ve got around 50 per cent of all our minis teams in the region already confirmed as participating, a figure that I’d expect to rise between now and when registration closes at the end of the month.”

Club coaches still to enroll their team at one of the festivals can do so by contacting their appropriate Player Development Officer as follows no later than 30th September:
