Club Nights are back

It’s been over a year since we last took to the road for one of our club nights, but we’re delighted to announce that we’re back!

Ospreys in the Community will kick off this evening at Ystalyfera RFC before travelling around the community visiting other clubs in the forthcoming months.

Hundreds of young players from U7s to U16s teams at 15 different Ospreylian sides will have the opportunity to build and develop new skills with the OitC coaches, while also having plenty of fun playing games

Not only is this a rugby fun-filled evening for the attendees, but it is also a chance for teams to motivate and reward their young squads and attract new players.

Tom Sloane, Community Foundation Manager said:

“Everyone at Ospreys in the Community absolutely love our Club Nights. It’s great to get out across the region and have fun especially after the last year we’ve had due to the pandemic. This season we’re going to be visiting even more clubs so hopefully by the end of the season there will be even more young children playing grassroots rugby in Wales, which is fantastic for the sport.

“The next few months at OiTC will have a huge focus on getting young people back outside and playing the sport we all love so much. We are looking to support our clubs as much as possible with recruitment but also individuals to get back interacting and having fun, in turn supporting both Physical & Mental Wellbeing.”
