Children's choir to perform before Dragons game

A 400+ strong schools choir from the Neath Port Talbot area will entertain crowds at the Liberty Stadium before the big RaboDirect PRO12 derby match against Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday night.

The newly created choir has come together specially for the fixture in a celebration of Welsh culture, and will perform ahead of kick-off. Their set begins at 6.40pm, 25 minutes before the match gets underway.

The choir, which will be located in the South Stand, is made up of the the Ysgol Gyfun Ystalyfera Choir, along with pupils from 16 primary schools in the local community: Blaendulais, Castellnedd, Cwn Nedd, Pontardawe, Rhosafan, Tyle'r Inn, Cwmgors, Cwmllynfell, Y Glyn, Rhiwfawr, Trebannws, Y Wern, Ynysgedwyn, Cwmtwrch, Gwaun Cae Gurwen and Pontsenni.

Songs being performed by the children are:

Rwy'n siarad Cymraeg, Mam wnaeth got i mi, O Re Mi, Calon Lan and Rachie.
