As well as taking Year-9 pupils for a training session, the scrum- half also enjoyed a Q&A session before meeting pupils from the lower school to chat, sign autographs and pose for pictures.

Speaking about the visit, Mike Phillips said:

"It was great fun, I really enjoyed interacting with the children.
Their enthusiasm was obvious, they were keen to learn, were very focused on developing their rugby skills and I was impressed by the general ability on display. It is important that the Ospreys develop strong links in the local community so that we can encourage youngsters to discover rugby for themselves, to help children improve as players and maybe even identify future Ospreys. I had a great welcome from everybody at the school, it was great fun, and I look forward to returning soon."
