Tyler Ardron and Jeff Hassler will return to sevens action this weekend after being named in Canada’s 14 man squad for the NACRA Sevens Olympic qualifying tournament.
The pair will be looking to help Canada book a spot in next year’s Summer Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, two years after their last involvement on the international sevens circuit.
Both players featured regularly for the team in 2012/13. Also named in the squad is scrum-half, Phil Mack, who spent time with the region in 2013 as emergency injury cover.
The competition in North Carolina, USA, will take place over Saturday and Sunday.
Canada have been drawn in Pool B where they will face Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, the Cayman Islands and the Bahamas.
