Man of the Match Lee Byrne pleased to give fans something to cheer.
Speaking after the game at the RDS, Byrne commented:
"It was a relief at the end, I thought they were coming back. It's nice to get the result, for our supporters who made it, we gave them something to cheer.
"I think it started when we went out to Ireland for that week. We believed after beating Munster that we could come over here, hand on my heart, we believed that we could win today. That's what happened, and fair play, 1-22 did a job on them.
"Personally, I've not had the best of seasons so it's nice to get a good performance today. As a team, we were disappointed with Biarritz but we've taken away something from the season."
