Bridgend travel guide

If you are heading to Bridgend this weekend for Saturday’s game against Bristol at the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field then check out the following travel information.

With a traditional Saturday 3pm slot and Bridgend being within easy travelling distance for visiting supporters, just an hour away by rail or road, a healthy crowd is expected for the eagerly awaited Anglo-Welsh Cup clash.

If you are traveling by car there is limited parking availability at the ground itself, which is on a first come, first served basis and is expected to be full early in the day.

AVAILABLE PARKING (pay and display) 

- The old Embassy car park (at roundabout near to Bridgend Ford Brewery Field - adjacent to the ground)

- Rhiw Car Park (Multi Storey opposite council offices - 5 mins walk approx.) CF31 1DP

- Bridgend Recreation Centre (5 minute walk approx.) CF31 4AH

- Cheapside (Multi Storey by Police Station - 10 mins walk approx.) CF31 1BZ

DO NOT PARK adjacent to the Bridgend Ford Brewery Field at Tondu Road end.

 

TRAVEL BY RAIL

Bridgend is well served in both directions by Great Western Railway with a direct service running throughout the day from Bristol.

From Bristol Parkway, pre-match there are trains leaving at nine minutes past the hour, every hour, from 9.09am, with the journey time taking exactly one hour. The latest departure to arrive in Bridgend in time for kick-off is at 1.09pm.

Post-match, direct trains depart Bridgend for Bristol Parkway at 5.02pm; 6.02pm and 7.02pm, all taking 58 minutes, and then at 8.35pm, with a journey time of an hour.

Traveling from the west, supporters should note there is a bus replacement service in operation between Swansea and Port Talbot, stopping at Neath.

Services depart Swansea High Street Station at 15 minutes and 49 minutes past the hour, with the 1.15pm departure being the last to leave that will get you to Bridgend ahead of kick-off.

With regular services running west throughout the evening, the last train departing Bridgend for Swansea is at 11.02pm.
