After a big day of domestic rivalry at the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field on Saturday, when a big crowd turned out to see the Ravens overcome Bridgend Athletic in a Swalec Cup fixture, the focus in the town will turn towards regional rugby next weekend when the Ospreys return to Bridgend to face reigning Aviva Premiership champs Harlequins.
The fixture, which will kick off at 5.00pm on Sunday 3rd February 2013, will be the fifth competitive match hosted by the Ospreys at the home of Bridgend Ravens, following on from games against Leicester Tigers and London Wasps in 2010/11 and Northampton Saints and Newport Gwent Dragons last season.
Quins will arrive in Bridgend on the back of an outstanding run of form, with nine straight wins meaning they are unbeaten in all competitions since mid-November.
Even more impressively, they currently sit at the top of the table in two of the three tournaments they compete in, six wins from six in the Heineken Cup securing a top seeding in the last eight while they have lost just three times in thirteen Premiership games, and currently lead the table from Saracens by two points as they defend the league crown they won for the first time last May.
In the LV= Cup, their 23-6 win over London Welsh on Saturday sees them sitting in second place, just behind Exeter Chiefs on try count only, and they will come to Ospreylia looking for a win they hope will see them through to the last four.
Tickets for the game are currently on sale at both the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office and the Riverside Hardware Brewery Field, as well as online at www.ospreysrugby.com/buytickets and via the Ticket Hotline on 0844 815 6665.
