Bridgend District Youth chasing silverware

Bridgend District Youth are preparing to do battle in the Wynne Lloyd Memorial Cup semi-finals on Monday.

Bridgend have already swept aside the challenges of fellow Ospreylian teams, Afan Nedd and Swansea, on their way to the semis. They will now attempt to claim a place in the final when they take on Gwent at Chepstow RFC.

The players have put in superb performances on the field throughout the competition, guided by the coaches who have done an excellent job in developing the youngsters throughout the season.

The effort and the high standard of performances have paid dividends, with a few of the current squad being asked to train with Bridgend Ravens and bright centre, Rhys Thomas, made an appearance in the loss against Llandovery.

The team will be travelling to Chepstow RFC for their semi-final fixture which will kick off at 7:30pm tonight.
