A last minute try from wing Luke Jenkins wasn't enough to rescue the Ospreys U16 as they narrowly lost to Blues South at Llandarcy Academy of Sport on Wednesday evening.
On a wet and windy evening that wasn’t conducive to flowing rugby, Blues South led at half time, a Callum Sheedy penalty the solitary score.
The outside half then extended the visitors lead to 9 -0 with a well taken drop goal and a further penalty but the Eyasses refused to lie down and secured a loosing bonus point when winger Luke Jenkins crossed for an injury time try after a break from centre Joe Thomas break, leaving the score 9-5 to the visitors at the final whistle.
