22/23 Transition Group - Forwards

The Ospreys senior squad will be joined by a new batch of youngsters coming through the academy as part of this season’s transition group.

First up, it’s the forwards:

Up front, Hooker Ellis Fackrell comes into the side after making the switch over from Cardiff age-grade sides. The Treorchy Zebras youngster has featured for Bridgend Ravens and Swansea over the last two seasons and is named in the Wales U20s side for the upcoming U20s Six Nations series out in Italy.

Treorchy RFC teammate, Lewis Lloyd also joins the pack. The hooker has played for Treorchy Comprehensive School and Bridgend College before featuring for Swansea RFC.

The second-row is bolstered by Cowbridge RFCs’ and Swansea University student, Lewis Jones. Standing at 6ft 8, the lock has featured for Wales U20s as well as playing for Swansea RFC in the Premiership.

In the back-row, CRICC (Clwb Rygbi Ieuenctid Cymru Caerdydd) Cai Davies comes into the fold having previously featured for Cardiff and Ysgol Glantaf. Now playing for Swansea RFC and Swansea Uni, the youngster also has caps for Wales U19s under his belt.

17-year-old, Morgan Morse joins the set-up after putting in an impressive shift in the U20s Six Nations back in February. The Dulais Valley youngster is also named in the U20s side for the upcoming Six Nations series in Italy.
