The ever-popular Ospreys in the Community Club Nights are back for this season and we are visiting more teams than ever before!
Ospreys in theCommunity have kicked-off our 2018/19 Club nights with a great start at Ystradgynlais RFC and Cefn Cribwr RFC, and are looking forward to the getting out onto the road to visit other clubs within the region over the forthcoming months.
Hundreds of young players from U7s to U16s teams at 15 different Ospreylian sides will have the opportunity to build and develop new skills with the OitC coaches, while also having plenty of fun playing games with some Ospreys players. Not to mention the fantastic opportunity for photos and autographs!
Not only is this a rugby fun-filled evening for the attendees, but it is also a chance for teams to motivate and reward their young squads and attract new players.
Tom Sloane, OitC Community Co-ordinator, commented on the Club Nights:
“Everyone at Ospreys in the Community absolutely love the Club Nights. It’s great to get out across the region and have fun with the children. Last year’s run had a huge impact with 60 new players across the 10 clubs we visited. This season we’re going to be at 15 clubs so hopefully by the end of the season there will be even more young children playing grassroots rugby in Wales, which is fantastic for the sport.”
