Ospreys kicked of their EPCR Challenge Cup campaign with a bonus point win in Tbilisi, coming home from a tough away visit with the full five points in the bag.

The boys scored seven tries and looked dominant across the park, with the set piece on top and free-flowing hands in the back line.

Ospreys got off to a strong start in the opening five minutes, winning the collision battle and putting in two dominant scrums, with the second winning a penalty on opposition ball.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! A superb run from Gwilym Evans got the Ospreys deep into Black Lion territory and the home side were forced into conceding a penalty on their five metre line. The pack worked a move straight off the training ground and Gwilym powered over from the maul. Conversion wide. Black Lion 0 - 5 Ospreys.

The backs were strutting their stuff after the score, slicing holes in the Black Lion defence at will and marching their way down the field.

TRY FOR OSPREYS! A powerful scrum on the Black Lion five metre line gave Morsey the platform to carry from the back and he scored in his typical fashion, barging over with force. Conversion wide. Black Lion 0 - 10 Ospreys.

Black Lion were struggling to create with the ball in hand, as an organised defensive line from the Ospreys forced them into multiple handling errors.

But, the home side answered back soon after. A lineout on the fringes of the Ospreys 22 opened up an opportunity to go down the blindside and Spanderashvilli took his finish well. Black Lion 7 - 10 Ospreys.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! A tap and go on the five allowed the pack to go through the phases. Black Lion could only hold on so long before Huw Sutton was breezed past his man to get the Ospreys third score. Conversion wide. Black Lion 7 - 15 Ospreys.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! Black Lion competed well at a lineout near their five metre line and forced a loose ball, but some superb quick hands started by Morgan Morse saw Luke Morgan run it in under the sticks untouched. Lawson Creighton converted. Black Lion 7 - 22 Ospreys.

The boys went in it half time with four tries on the board after some great heads up rugby.

HALF TIME: BLACK LION 7 - 22 OSPREYS

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! The boys came out flying in the second half, put instant pressure on Black Lion from the kick off. Some patient yet dominant carrying from the pack opened it up for the backs and Luke Morgan finished in style in the corner after a miss pass from Lalakai Foketi. Black Lion 7 - 27 Ospreys.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! The backs went through the hands from a scrum in midfield and stormed into Black Lion territory. With the ball near the tryline, Reuben Morgan-Williams played a pinpoint pass missing several players for Lewis Lloyd to finish in the corner. Black Lion 7 - 32 Ospreys.

In a similar theme to the first half, Black Lion were unable to create any opportunities, with the Ospreys defensive line showing no signs of slowing down.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! An incisive run from Owen Watkin opened up the opposition defence before he placed a perfect offload to Lewis Lloyd who put the burners on, but he was brought down just before the line. Kian Hire worked his socks off to support him and was able to touch the ball down immediately after. Lawson Creighton converted. Black Lion 7 - 39 Ospreys.

It looked like Ospreys had nabbed the next score after a brilliant run by Harri Wilde down the wing. He converted his own try, but it was chalked off for an infringement before the score. Ospreys continued to control the game well and had a few final chances, including a big break from Luke Davies, but it was Black Lion who secured a final consolation try as their rolling maul powered over just before full time. Black Lion 14 - 39 Ospreys.

With the new EPCR bonus point rules needing winners to be three tries clear of their opponents, we secured the bonus point with seven tries to two.
