Nestless Night 2026

Nestless Night

Ospreys in the Community's "Nestless Night" sleep out returns after a short hiatus, to the newly refurbed St. Helens this October and we are looking for people to take part and help reach our fundraising goal

We are looking for sleepers, people who want to join us and help fundraise on the evening and passionate businesses wanting to help make a difference.

In collaboration with Action for Children, the sleep out will see people spend a night sleeping outside to help OitC raise £15,000 to fund the Bouncing Back plus project.

Bouncing Back Plus is a mental health program for primary school children in Swansea, delivered by Action for Children and Ospreys in the Community. It combines CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy) techniques with physical activities such as touch rugby to improve emotional well-being and resilience. Children receive a Mental Health First Aid Kit with resources to support their mental health. The programme has reached nearly 3,000 children across almost 40 schools, with positive feedback showing improved happiness and emotional well-being among participants.

Ospreys in the Community launched their first sleepout in 2019 which saw 96 brave sleepers take part, raising £22,000. Since the 2019 sleepout, OitC have supported over 3000 young people's mental health, helping them to build resilience and coping strategies.

The Night

The Nestless Night will take place at St. Helens Stadium on Friday 16th October, where sleepers and fundraisers will be welcomed into the newly refurbed St. Helens Stadium.

During the Evening OitC will run through all the life-changing work they have carried out in the community to date. This includes the Tackle/TAD projects and their 'Sporting Memories' initiative that supports older people living with dementia, depression and loneliness by engaging them in social activities and helping them to recall memories of watching or playing sport.

After the presentation, the sleep out will officially begin as attendees head outside for a cold night's sleep outside the stadium in a display of solidarity for people experiencing homelessness and displacement.

After waking up, a much-deserved warm coffee & snack will be provided for sleepers.

Each participant will be tasked to raise £100 in the lead up to the event.
