The deadline for existing season-ticket holders to secure their current seats passed this week with the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office reporting a 15 per cent increase in like for like sales - as bosses remind fans still to buy that they have two more weeks to take advantage of Early Bird prices.
The cut-price deals allow supporters to watch the Ospreys for just £9.70 a game when purchasing a Category C season-ticket, an incredible saving of 51per cent on the equivalent matchday ticket, with adult season tickets starting at just £165 and OAP's and students paying just £125, when purchased before the Early Bird deadline of July 18th.
With the introduction of Benetton Treviso and Aironi to the Magners League for next season, the package offers better value for money than ever. Season-tickets now cover 17 fixtures, two more than the 09/10 season, incorporating 11 Magners League fixtures in the regular season (not play-offs), Heineken Cup and LV= Cup pool stages and a pre-season friendly. Additional benefits include membership of the brand new Ospreys Supporters Club.
Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, has welcomed the news of a 15 per cent increase, whilst urging fans yet to commit to a season-ticket to take advantage of the outstanding value packages:
"With the first deadline passing this week, the renewal deadline for existing season-ticket holders, we are extremely pleased with the latest figures which show a considerable increase against where we were at the same point last season, at the renewal cut-off point on 30th June.
"The next key date for those yet to purchase a season-ticket is the Early Bird Deadline on 18th July. Season-tickets bought before that date offer fantastic savings on buying tickets on a match-by-match basis. Using Category C as an example again, if you can only get to nine of the 17 games during the season you will pay more buying individual tickets than you would if you bought a season-ticket, plus you get the added convenience of having the same seat secured week in week out, you don't have to go out of your way to purchase tickets when you need them, and you aren't at risk of missing out for our big games. If you get to one or two extra games, then you are well in profit."
Following the success of the scheme last year, the Introduce-A-Friend initiative will once again be operating, potentially allowing adult supporters the chance to watch the Ospreys all season completely free of charge, while all juniors (16 and under) can claim a free season-ticket in the Family Stand if accompanied by a paying adult - you can't get better value than that!
Additional benefits include free entry to all age-grade fixtures stages within Ospreylia, priority access to tickets for away matches and any knock-out games in the Magners League or Heineken Cup, as well as 10 per cent discount on all Ospreys merchandise purchased at the Ospreys Superstore and 10 per cent discount on additional tickets purchased for non-knock-out fixtures at the Liberty Stadium.
