This week we’re prepared for a tough battle as we welcome Connacht Rugby to the Swansea.com Stadium for our latest BKT United Rugby Championship fixture.
They bring a level of physicality that will be very challenging. We need to be up for that and we need to be ready for a fight. Ultimately, it's going to be around physicality and the breakdown where this game is going to be won and lost.
We’ve got a bunch of the senior boys out on international duty but we still have a few old heads around as well to cajole the energy in the right places and those things are important.
That's why we recruited experience, especially up front, because that can bring that sort of understanding of set pieces. That’s probably where we've probably been hurt the most in the past.
There's a great opportunity here for some of our younger lads to step up and make a real impact on the game today and to put their name in the mix for a starting spot. Regardless of who starts, we have expectations that need to be met and the boys are fully aware of that, they're raring to go.
