Well, here we are at the end of what can perhaps be best described as a tumultuous season. As we kick off tonight, we are very much in contention to win the Welsh Shield and ensure Champions Cup rugby next season. With our near neighbours here in the West, also in contention for this prize, it would seem to be extremely unfair that by the very virtue of us playing tonight; whilst they are not in action until Saturday, they have been handed something of an advantage.

One cannot but wonder, why such a scenario has been created in the first place? Of course, the fact remains, that should we be successful in claiming a third consecutive home winning bonus point, then nothing can deny us the position of top Welsh side, that we so richly deserve. We would qualify on the basis of having won more games than the Scarlets, whatever their result. It is also worth reflecting that we have won 10 league game (at this point), only 2 less than the table topping Leinster side. Also, in the league, to date we have only been beaten at home once, with our 2 European home game against Sale ( in particular) and Racing, making one speculate on what could have been.

So, perhaps things are looking up for Ospreys Rugby.

Diolch yn fawr i chi y cefnogwyr am eich cefnogaeth eleni. Mae pawb ar bwyllgor CCG yn edrych ymlaen at y tymor nesa, gyda gobaith yn ein calon a’r Gweilch yn ein henaid. Cadwch digon o sŵn heno, am y tro olaf y tymor hyn. Dewch ymlaen y Gweilch!!

Noson Wobrau/ Presentation Evening

Last Saturday saw a highly successful evening at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea. Below are a selection of photographs with particular significance to the OSC and supporters in genera. The OSC presented AWJ with a uniquely crafted Grogg to mark the occasion of him setting a new world record of international appearance. The Grogg itself was painted in the colours of The B&I Lions, Wales and the Ospreys, marking his incredible achievements for each of these teams. AWJ is seen here receiving his award from OSC Chair, Grant Berni, together with Sean Holley and Sky Sports News presenter Hayley McQueen. LLongyfarchiadau Alun, rydyn ni i gyd mor falch orhonyt ti.
