I don’t think anyone who watched the Leinster game could argue that we didn’t get our money’s worth! What a fantastic Ospreys performance, against the URC leaders, undefeated in all competitions this season! Leinster’s decision to kick the ball dead on 80 mins, when there was the possibility of a try bonus point for the taking, is testament of their appraisal of the threat we posed! Yet, many of us left the stadium thinking that this this was one that got away!
I am not one for criticising the match officials, believing that they do a very difficult job. However, the question must be asked, as to how for a third consecutive week, we can create and enjoy such dominance in the scrummage and not be adequately rewarded! Not a yellow card in sight, despite multiple scrum penalties awarded, played a big part in determining this outcome!
On to tonight, following somewhat of a surprise outcome in France, we welcome our French friends from Montpellier, knowing that we are very much in the race to make the KO stages of the competition! So come on you Ospreys supporters and make some noise tonight!
