Ospreys launch two new partnerships for 09/10

The Ospreys have announced details of two exciting new partnerships that will make it easier for supporters to keep in touch with goings-on at the region throughout this season.

The Wave and Swansea Sound are the region’s official radio stations for the 2009/10 season, while The South Wales Evening Post has been confirmed as the Ospreys official media partner for the year. As part of the link-up between the newspaper and the region, the Post’s logo will feature on the back of the Ospreys’ shorts this season.

Ospreys Strategic Development Manager, Paul Thorburn, says the Ospreys relationship with sister stations The Wave and Swansea Sound, as well as the South Wales Evening Post, will help maintain a strong profile for the region:

“By linking up with one of the UK’s best performing regional newspapers and the area’s most listened to stations we’re able to promote our fixtures, and provide our fans with more ways of finding out the latest information about everything Ospreys related.

“The South Wales Evening Post, The Wave and Swansea Sound are very much part of the fabric of the local community in the area. These partnerships brings together some much-loved community assets and will help ensure that our message reaches more fans, existing and potential, than ever before.”

Swansea Sound and the Wave Station Director, Carrie Mosley, says she’s proud of the tie-up with the Ospreys:

“We are the radio stations dedicated to the South West Wales area and rugby is the region’s biggest sporting passion.   We are proud to be associated with such an ambitious and forward thinking rugby team and wish the Ospreys well for the challenging season ahead.”

South West Wales Media Ltd managing director Blanche Sainsbury said:

“The Ospreys are committed to working with the local community to champion the club. It is an ideal working partnership because the Evening Post champions local communities and is at the heart of all things local.

“We are delighted to be working with the Ospreys and have planned some very exciting initiatives and promotions which will benefit our readers
