Ospreys Launch South Stand Special Offers

Ospreys bosses today revealed details of two exciting family friendly initiatives ahead of the forthcoming Magners League fixtures against Connacht and Leinster.

The South Stand Concourse Area at the Liberty Stadium will be transformed into a Family Funzone for the two games, with a range of rugby themed inflatable activities available, such as try line tussle, bungee run, and passing targets, encouraging families to arrive early make the most of the occasion.

In addition to the Family Funzone, bosses at the region have teamed up with Schools and Rugby Clubs across Ospreylia for the South Stand Special, offering them exclusively the opportunity to bring groups of 16's & unders to the matches for free (and all other adults for only £5. We ask, for adequate supervision, that there be a paying adult present for every 4 children).

Ospreys Managing Director Roger Blyth said:

"We enjoyed our all-time record Heineken Cup crowd for our last home game, against Leicester Tigers, with more than 18,000 people attending, and it was the highest crowd for any fixture in Europe that weekend. The atmosphere for the game was incredible; it really helped to make a difference, lifting the players on the pitch during what was a difficult and physical match.

"After that, we asked ourselves what could we do to encourage supporters to come back to the Liberty Stadium for our next two fixtures, both of which are taking place during the Six Nations when maybe some of our fans focus will be on international affairs. The solution we came up with was to declare the South Stand Concourse area a Family Funzone and make it the place to come for fun day out. We want the rugby match itself to be just part of a fantastic occasion, and I'm sure that with the inflatables in place, everyone who comes along will thoroughly enjoy themselves."

Weather permitting, the Family Funzone will be located in the South Stand Concourse Area, and will be open to all supporters and their families, not just those taking advantage of the clubs & schools offer. The activities will be free to all ticketholders.   For those wishing to visit the funzone with tickets in either the East or West Stand, please enter your relevant stand as normal (via the turnstile printed on your ticket), and then proceed (via the stadium concourses) to the South Stand Funzone (stewards will direct if needed!).   Roger Blyth added:

"Some of the Ospreys players will be on hand to try out the equipment for themselves, so why not come along and see if you can beat their scores?"

Anyone from a school or rugby club in Ospreylia who is interested in taking advantage of the South Stand Special should contact Barny Harper at the Ospreys on 0870 990 9175.  The standard group booking offer of half price tickets for all groups of 20+ (for groups not part of a school or club) is still available for all areas of the stadium.  Those wishing to avail themselves of this offer can also call Barny at the Ospreys on 0870 990 9175.
