As the curtain falls on another BKT URC season, we look back on some of the stats of the season, including individual player accolades and whole squad efforts.
Ospreys’ 33-point win against Dragons RFC in Round 16 (57-24) was their largest against a fellow Welsh side in the URC since another 33-point victory over the Dragons in March 2013 (52-19).
Ospreys missed from just two of their 120 tackle attempts against Cardiff Rugby on New Year's Day, with their 98% success rate being the highest recorded by a team in a URC game this decade – overall, the side had the league’s third best tackle success rate this season (87.8%).
Ospreys prevented Benetton Rugby from scoring a single point during their Round 10 clash in January (43-0), the seventh time they’ve held an opponent scoreless in the competition, more often than any other Welsh side.
ImageOspreys retained possession from 90.4% of their own lineouts in this season’s URC, with only Connacht Rugby (91.4%) recording a higher rate – it was Ospreys’ highest rate in a URC campaign since 2017/18 (91.3%).
Ospreys averaged 3.3 tries scored per game in the 2024/25 URC regular season, the second best rate of any Welsh side, and the first time they’ve averaged over three since the 2016/17 campaign (3.8).
Jack Walsh assisted four tries during Ospreys’ Round 13 win against Connacht Rugby (43-40), the most of any player in a URC game this season – the last Ospreys player to assist as many in the competition was Mathew Morgan versus Benetton Rugby in February 2014.
Jack Walsh gained 885 metres from his carries in this season’s URC, the second-most of any player in the competition (Geronimo Prisciantelli – 955) and the most by an Ospreys player in a single season so far this decade – teammate Morgan Morris ranked third for metres-in-contact specifically (279).
Dan Edwards was the 2nd highest scorer in the 2024/25 URC regular season, with Edwards’ tally of 120 being the highest by any Ospreys player since Sam Davies scored 153 in the 2018/19 campaign.
Morgan Morris made 25 carries against Edinburgh Rugby in Round 6, the most by an Ospreys player since Olly Cracknell made 25 against Glasgow Warriors in September 2017 – only Munster duo Tom Farrell (228) and Gavin Coombes (193) made more carries overall than Morris did this season (183).
Image- Ospreys and Wales captain Jac Morgan, who is set to travel to Australia with the British & Irish Lions this summer, made the most dominant tackles of any player in the 2024/25 URC regular season (23), while only three other players won more turnovers than him (15).
