Three lucky young Ospreys fans were given the honour of leading their side onto the Liberty Stadium turf ahead of Tuesday night’s Celtic League clash with local rivals, Scarlets.
npower renewables, the official sponsors of the Ospreys, gave the three lucky children the opportunity to be mascots at Tuesday’s match against the Llanelli Scarlets.
Over 360 children, aged between eight and eleven, attended the Easter Rugby Camps and had the chance to enter the draw to be an Ospreys mascot. One child from each Camp in Neath, Swansea and Bridgend was a mascot at the match and had the chance to walk out with the team at the Liberty Stadium.
npower renewables are delighted to announce that Kiaran McKay represented the Neath Camp, Marcus Thomas represented the Swansea Camp and Liam Richards represented the Bridgend Camp.
Mark Legerton, Development Manager for npower renewables in Wales said:
“npower renewables is delighted to be able to have given three children the chance to be a mascot at the match against the Scarlets. The three children represented their region and walked out onto the pitch with the Ospreys and experienced the excitement of the pre-match build up at the Liberty Stadium.”
Mike Cuddy, Ospreys Managing Director commented:
“We are very pleased that our mascots from Tuesday night’s match were from across the region. All the children attending the Ospreys Easter Camps were at Tuesday night’s match and were treated to a first class experience of top flight rugby.”
