Inviting Ospreys Community Coaches

In support of the Ospreys Community initiatives, we would like to offer an open invitation to all coaches with suitable qualifications and experience to become involved with the Ospreys Community Department as one of our Ospreys Community Coaches.

OSPREYS COMMUNITY COACHES

As part of their duties, Ospreys Community Coaches may be requested to attend and deliver one or a mixture of the following sessions during school term time dependant on their qualifications and experience:

Primary School Yr 2/3 Tag Rugby Development
Primary School Yr 5/6 Contact Rugby Development
Secondary School Yr 7 and 10 Contact Development
Secondary School Yr 11 & 1stXV Development
Individual Skills Master Classes
Women's & Girl's Tag/Contact Rugby U15 or U18

Additional duties are also available during the holiday periods:

Ospreys nPower Easter Camp
Ospreys nPower Summer Camp

Ospreys Community Coaches will be expected to conduct themselves in the following manner:

Plan their development session
Wear Ospreys provided coaching attire when on duty
Arrive early to session venue to setup and prepare
Ensure inclusion of all/as many players as possible in activities
Make sure the session is:        o Active
    o Purposeful
    o Enjoyable
    o Safe
Self Reflect on their performance
Be proactive in their own development (CPD events and seek feedback) Candidates applying for these positions must satisfy the Essential criteria as detailed below:

Qualified minimum Community Tag Leader (Tag Development).

Qualified minimum UKCC Level 1 (Supervised Contact Development).

Qualified minimum UKCC Level 2 (Lead Contact Development)

Driving licence with own transport.

Available during weekdays, between the hours of 9-5 p.m.
