AVIVA STADIUM DUBLIN
16TH may 2026

Ospreys try scorers: Huw Sutton, Dan Edwards

Conversions: Dan Edwards (2)

An experienced Leinster side put Ospreys to the sword at the Aviva Stadium. The home side went fully loaded ahead of next week's European final, and were ruthless in victory. Ospreys scored two good tries, but couldn't hold off a clinical Leinster side.

The hosts started strongly, marching down the field in the first couple of minutes with some well worked set plays before a few carries by the pack resulted in a Joe McCarthy try, with Harry Byrne adding the conversion. Leinster 7 - 0 Ospreys.

The home team further built on their momentum after Max Deegan was able to score under the posts shortly after a well placed 50:22 by James Lowe, Byrne adding the conversion. Leinster 14 - 0 Ospreys.

The Ospreys began to enjoy a spell of possession in Leinster territory after the score, asking questions of the home team’s redzone defence, but the Irish stood firm.

With 20 minutes played, Leinster were able to extend their lead after a line break was eventually finished by Josh van der Flier. Jimmy O’Brien was able to finish off another fast break try soon after the third score which was also converted by Byrne. Leinster 28 - 0 Ospreys.

Ospreys created a number of opportunities and were doing well to work their way down the field, but an organised Leinster defence was able to keep the boys out.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! A well worked set played allowed Keelan to cut through the Leinster defence. A few phases of well worked offloads eventually resulted in Rhys Davies popping to Huw Sutton for the score under the sticks. Dan Eds added the conversion. Leinster 28 - 7 Ospreys.

HALF TIME – LEINSTER 28, OSPREYS 7.

Leinster were able to extend their lead a few minutes into the second half. A loose ball was recovered by the home side just outside off the Ospreys 22 and Ringrose was able to finish after a few pop passes. Frawley converted, Leinster 35 - 7 Ospreys.

The next score of the game went to the home team. Leinster spotted space in behind after forcing a turnover and Larmour was just able to recover the ball despite a superb effort from Ratti to chase back and put the pressure on the loose ball. Leinster 42 - 7 Ospreys.

Leinster added to their tally again 15 minutes into the second half, turning the ball over and releasing McCarthy down the wing who powered through for the score. Leinster 47 - 7 Ospreys.

With the Ospreys asking questions of the Leinster defence on the brink of their 22, Larmour was able to intercept, Frawley adding the extras. Leinster 54 - 7 Ospreys.

McCarthy scored his third with 20 minutes left, with Frawley adding the extras. Leinster 61 - 7 Ospreys.

Lowe was able to score his third of the game not long after, closing Leinster's account for the day. Leinster 68 - 7 Ospreys.

Ospreys were to have the final points of the game. A dummy from Cokanasiga puts Dan Eds through a gap, the fly half converting his own score. Leinster 68 - 14 Ospreys.

A tough trip to finish the season, against a clinical, fully loaded Leinster team. Thank you for your incredible support, both home and away this season.

FULL TIME: LEINSTER 68 - 14 OSPREYS.
