Speaking ahead of the game, head coach Chris Davies said: “The U18s have prepared very well after a two-week training camp in Italy and a friendly match against the Scarlets last Wednesday.
We gave all the players an opportunity during the game which was a good test for the boys leading into the first competitive block.
We now hope as coaches that the players can adopt the strategies put in place at set piece and in general play. It will be an exciting test against the Scarlets as they are renowned for playing an open expansive game. The players will need to have a strong work ethic in order to compete throughout the whole game”.
The Ospreys U16s West travel to Sardis Road to face the Blues U16s North, also kicking off at 7:15pm.

Speaking ahead of the game, head coach Tom Snelgrove said: “We have started another season and we have another group of expectant Ospreys waiting to play. It’s always a very nervous time before you play your first game of the season and tomorrow is no different. We have been very pleased with how the players have taken to the new environment and have picked up new skills and techniques over a short period of time."
"We are expecting an especially tough encounter against the Blues North, who the players acquitted themselves well against last week in the festival we played at Caerphilly. However, the players are aware that the level needs to go up this week and they have been asked to concentrate on their skills and their game."
"The coaches and I are excited to see who will be the next Keelan Giles or Harri Morgan.”
The Ospreys U16s East have a bye this week and will begin their season next Wednesday against the Scarlets U16s East at Parc Y Scarlets.
