WRU Touch is perfect for groups of families, friends, colleagues and sports teams who looking to take part in a fun and social sport.
WRU Touch is fun and social sports a minimal contact sport played on a maximum pitch area of 50m x 70m, however typically games are played on half a standard rugby pitch. The game emphasises running, agility, passing, catching and communication. Touch is often referred to as Touch Rugby, but there is no tackling, lineouts, scrumming or kicking involved. This makes it appealing to a wide range of ages and abilities, from juniors to masters and from slight to heavy builds, both male and females.
With mixed teams encouraged it is one of the most flexible, fun and sociable sports around. It is open to players of all shapes and sizes and is a fantastic way of staying fit in summer.
Try Touch evenings:
April 2nd - Swansea Uplands RFC - 6-8pm
April 9th - Penclawdd RFC - 6 - 7:30pm
WRU Touch Swansea League
Starts Weds 7th May (6 - 8:30pm) for 9 consecutive weeks, followed by finals night on 11th July.
