Ospreys pair on international duty

Giorgi Nemsadze and Lesley Klim are both in international action this weekend, for Georgia and Namibia respectively.

Giorgi Nemsadze has again been named captain for Georgia’s final test of the summer series against Japan on Saturday, 6.45am KO UK time. Nemsadze skippered his side in two closely contested games against Tonga and the French Barbarians, with Georgia triumphing 16-15 on both occasions but in their last outing the Lelos fell to a strong Fijian side 37-15.

Also on Saturday, Namibia take on Tunisia in the Rugby Africa Gold Cup in Windhoek (KO 3pm UK). New signing Lesley Klim has been named in the starting line-up in the number 14 shirt. Namibia are chasing a sixth successive qualification for the Rugby World Cup, and a spot in Pool B alongside defending champions New Zealand, South Africa, Italy and the repechage winner. Last weekend’s saw them run in  nine tries on their way to a 55-6 victory over Uganda.

Namibia then face Morocco next weekend before playing against Zimbabwe and Kenya in August, after which Klim will report for duty at Llandarcy.
