Jeff Hassler will link up with the Canadian national squad on Monday ahead of his country’s crucial two-leg Rugby World Cup qualification tie against Uruguay.
The Canadians meet in Vancouver, where they will be based for next Saturday’s first leg, before traveling to Montevideo for the return clash on Saturday 3rd February.
Hassler will then return to Wales to prepare for a busy month of Guinness PRO14 action, starting with the trip to Galway to play Connacht on Friday 9th February.
Former Ospreys Tyler Ardron and Phil Mack are also included in the Canada squad.
