By Ospreys Rugby | 21/04/2016

The Ospreys have confirmed details of which players will not be retained for next season, marking their service to the region with a special presentation at the annual dinner on Thursday night.

The departing players are:

Jordan Collier (2 appearances)

Matthew Dwyer (23 appearances/1 try)

Lloyd Evans (4 appearances)

Richard Fussell (113 appearances/18 tries)

Rhodri Hughes (10 appearances)

Aaron Jarvis (89 appearances)

Aled Jenkins (3 appearances)

Kristian Phillips (22 appearances/4 tries)

Marc Thomas (40 appearances)

Also presented were Ifereimi Boladau (Bridgend Ravens) and Tom Sloane (Swansea RFC) who have featured for the Ospreys as part of the B Group, making 4 and 1 appearances respectively. Sloane continues in his off-field role of Community Rugby Officer with Ospreys in the Community.

Managing Director, Andrew Millward, said:

“On behalf of everybody at the Ospreys, I’d like to thank each one of these individuals for their services and hard work while at the region.

“The nature of professional sport means that there is always a turnover at this time of the year with people leaving, but we wish them all the very best of luck for their futures, in and out of rugby. Whether they have played once or a hundred times, they have all contributed positively to our environment.

“In particular, it’s only right that we recognise the outstanding service of Richard Fussell over the last six years. The definition of selfless and a real team player, he has always put the Ospreys first on and off the field. His 100 appearances for the region is the quickest on record, coming in at just three and a half years. He has also contributed behind the scenes, working with the C Group and age-grade squad, using his vast experience to benefit the next generation of Ospreys.”
