Mitchell confirms Exeter move

Craig Mitchell has confirmed that he has signed a two-year deal with Aviva Premiership side Exeter Chiefs.
The 24-year old tighthead, who is currently sidelined after suffering a shoulder injury on international duty during the Six Nations, will move to Sandy Park next season after making 35 appearances for the region, 15 of which have been this season.
Speaking after confirming his move, Mitchell said:
"It's going to be a fresh start for me and a move that is right for me and my career at this stage. I've had six good years with the Ospreys, but I felt the time was right to try something else and signing for Exeter is a great opportunity for me.
"Yeah, it's going to be my first crack at English rugby and the Premiership. I've spoken to a few boys about it and they've said it's tough, but that it is also a very good standard. Obviously I've come up against English sides before with the Ospreys and with Wales, so I know a little bit about the players and the teams.
“I’ve had a good time for me at the Ospreys, it’s my home region where I’ve got lots of friends, so I’m sad to be moving on, but it’s the right time for me to challenge myself in a new environment.”
The Ospreys confirmed last month that Bath’s Welsh qualified tighthead Aaron Jarvis has signed a three-year deal with the region.
