Webb cited after Scarlets match

Rhys Webb has been cited for stamping/trampling on an opponent, under Law 10.4 (b), in the seventy first minute of the RaboDirect PRO12 match against Scarlets on Boxing Day.

The citing was brought by the independent RaboDirect PRO12 Citing Commissioner appointed for the match and the hearing is due to be held in Dublin on Sunday before an independent three-man disciplinary panel chaired by David Martin, Chairman of the Celtic Rugby Disciplinary Panel.

Details of the disciplinary hearings for the two Scarlets players red-carded in the same match will be advised when confirmed.

There will be no further comment on this issue from Ospreys Rugby.

Note: Law 10.4 (b) states “A player must not stamp or trample on an opponent”
