TWO OSPREYS UNDERGO SURGERY

Ospreys Physio Chris Towers has confirmed that Huw Bennett has undergone a 'minor procedure' to solve an ongoing shoulder problem, while Ed Shervington has also undergone surgery to repair an injury that forced him to leave the field during the final home game of the season, the 34-23 win over Glasgow earlier this month.

Towers commented:

"Huw has had a minor procedure for a shoulder problem that won't interfere with his pre-season. He will rehabilitate over the next month and then commence pre-season as normal with the rest of the squad at the end of June.

"Ed ruptured his achilles tendon in the Glasgow match and has subsequently had the damage repaired. The prediction is that he will face a five month rehabilitation from the operation that should see him playing again in the autumn."
