The Ospreys Management and Coaching Staff wish to dispel claims made in recent Press reports, where it alleges that the Ospreys did not rank the fixture against the Blues as a"€˜big game"€™.

Apparently the Ospreys head coach was heard to say that the match was a bigger game for the Blues than it was for the Ospreys.

At no time did Lyn Jones make these comments and, in addition, neither the coaching staff nor any member of the management have ever referred to the Ospreys as the Dream Team.

The recent success of the Ospreys U.18"€™s in the Reebok Championship provides a positive outlook as we continue in the development of home grown talent and this, along with the recent appointment of Community Rugby Development Officers "€" further details to follow, demonstrates our commitment across both the Community and Elite/High performance ends of the game in Wales
