Gendros Primary School welcomes Ospreys

Welsh international Duncan and Samoan star Kahn handed out Ospreys masks to the youngsters before taking part in a special Q&A session where they discussed life as a professional rugby player. They then spent time taking part in rugby skills sessions and relay races in the yard, ensuring everyone had a great time.

Speaking about the visit, Kahn said:

"As someone who's relatively new to the area, it's great to get out and about in the community to find out a bit more about the region. It always amazes me how passionate about rugby Ospreylians are, and we have to do all we can to inspire these kids to play and watch the game regularly."

Duncan Jones added:

"I always enjoy going on these school visits, they allow you to spend time getting to know youngsters who look up to us as rugby players. It's important that we play our part in the local community as role models and help to grow the game in the region. The more contact we have with local youngsters as an organisation, and the more kids we can get involved in rugby, the stronger the Ospreys will be."

Community Coach Liam Evans said:

"Gendros is one of the schools that we've been visiting regularly and all the children were excited about Khan and Duncan coming along. As always, the players were fantastic and the children were hanging on their every word, making sure that the Ospreys left a positive, lasting impression on them. We are working hard as a business to grow the game across the region and visits like this are central to our ambitions."
