Kids Camps bringing in fans from across the Severn

He was joined at Llandarcy by his cousin, Megan Whittock ,who despite being too old to participate was accompanying him, soaking up the lively atmosphere at the Ospreys HQ, on a repeat visit having enjoyed the first trip in 2010 so much. Their mothers, who are sisters, originally hail from Cardiff, but there is no direct link to Ospreylia - the original attraction being that their favourite rugby players all wear the famous black jersey.

Megan said:

"We really enjoy coming down to the Kids Camp. We came down last year and Ben had a great time, which is why we are back this time. He's gutted because next year he'll be too old.

"All our favourite players play for the Ospreys so it's great to be able to come down and meet them."

Ben added:

"The Ospreys are brilliant and I love taking part in the Kids Camps. The coaches are great and I enjoy working with them. The best part is meeting the players who are always really great with everyone."

Regional Community Manager, Ben Rose, said:

"To hear that we have fans willing to travel so far to participate in our Kids camps goes to show how good fun they are for our younger supporters. We've worked hard to make them even better this year and the feedback we've had suggests we've achieved that, with the camps during the first week all full-up.

"I'm delighted that Ben has enjoyed the camps so much, and that Megan has enjoyed being around the environment. Hopefully, we will see them at the Liberty Stadium some time soon, cheering on the Ospreys, and who knows, Ben may one day get to pull on an Ospreys shirt and show off the skills he's learned."

Thurs 28 & Fri 29 April, Llandarcy Academy of Sport

All two-day courses cost £50 per person
