International superstar Rod Stewart is set to rock the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday, June 1, for his only Welsh date of 2011, and Ospreys fans can secure their tickets now before they go on sale to the general public.
Hot on the heels of Rod's highly successful European tour of 2010, including sell-out dates across the UK, the multi-million selling superstar is the second act to be booked in at the stadium for this summer after the confirmation of JLS.
With 62 hit singles, including top tens and 6 number 1's under his belt in a career spanning five decades, Rod is one of the most enduring musicians of his generation. He continues to release new material, with his latest instalment of the phenomenally successful "Great American Songbook" series, "Fly Me to the Moon" making the top five in both the UK and America late last year.
Having taken Europe by storm last year, demand is certain to outstrip supply, with the Swansea venue being the only place for Rod's huge Welsh fan base to see one of their favourite artists of all time.
He will be rocking all of his greatest hits including "Maggie May, "First Cut Is The Deepest," and "Sailing".
Rod Stewart's generation-spanning appeal should ensure a great day out for all the family.
Liberty Stadium's general manager, Andrew Davies, said:
"It has been four years since Rod played Cardiff in front of a packed Millennium Stadium and we are looking forward to welcoming music fans of all ages to his first show in Swansea.

Tickets priced from £55 will go on sale through www.liberty-stadium.com on Monday, February 21 at 9am or in person at the Box Office from 10am. Tickets can also be purchased through www.seetickets.com or by telephone on 0844 209 7324. They will also be available from Derricks Records, Swansea.
