The Ospreys will get their 2011/12 RaboDirect PRO12 campaign underway with a home game against European champions Leinster on the opening day of the new season.
The official schedule for the season, with all dates confirmed up until the end of 2011, was confirmed by tournament officials today, with the Leinster game first up on Friday 2nd September, kicking-off at 7.05pm
Four of the first five rounds see the Ospreys at home, and the following weekend they welcome Edinburgh to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday 10th September at 6.30pm.
The first away game of the season comes on Saturday 17th September (3.00pm) when the Ospreys make the first of two trips to Benetton Treviso this season, before it's back to the Liberty on Sunday 25th September to face Ulster (4.30pm). Seven days later another Irish side travel to Ospreylia, Connacht the visitors on October 2nd (3.45pm).
Saturday 8th October sees the Ospreys travel to Thomond Park to take on reigning champions Munster (7.30pm) before the PRO12 breaks for three weeks when the Ospreys play in the LV= Cup.
The first game for the Ospreys upon the return of the PRO12 is a trip to Glasgow on Friday 28th October (7.05pm), before the first Welsh derby of the season sees the Ospreys welcome the Scarlets on Saturday 5th November (6.30pm).
After a break for European action the Ospreys travel to Connacht on Saturday 26th November (6.30pm) before Munster come to the Liberty Stadium on Saturday 3rd December, also at 6.30pm.
This year's Christmas fixtures see the Ospreys travel to Parc Y Scarlets on Boxing Day for a 2.05pm kick-off, with Cardiff Blues coming to the Liberty Stadium at 6.30pm on New Year's Day.
