SEASON TICKET RENEWAL DEADLINE APPROACHES

Ospreys season-ticket holders are being reminded that the deadline for guaranteeing their existing seat for the 2009/10 campaign is next Tuesday (June 30^th), after which point all un-renewed seats will be taken off reservation and made available on general sale.

There's been a positive response to the range of season ticket initiatives and discounts that were announced when they went on sale last month, with the 'Introduce-a-Friend' and 'Kids-Go-Free' initiatives in particular proving a hit as a number of supporters have taken advantage of the deals to become season ticket holders for the first time.

Now, it's the turn of existing season tickets holders who need to act swiftly if they want to guarantee that they retain their regular seat, as all seats unsold at close of business on June 30^th will become available to all supporters.

Ospreys Managing Director Roger Blyth said:

"We are just reminding supporters that next week all seats go on general sale so if they want to sit in the same seat that they have been previously, the only way that they can guarantee it is by renewing their season-ticket no later than Tuesday.

"We have put together a range of season-ticket initiatives for next season that offer tremendous value wherever you want to sit in the stadium, and whatever your age, including becoming the first region in Wales to offer existing season-ticket holders the chance to watch their side completely free of charge thanks to the "Introduce a Friend' Initiative. We are expecting the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office to be quite busy over the next few days as the deadline for the renewal of existing seats approaches, but demand should continue to remain high next month also, with the Early Bird prices still on offer until the middle of July for all purchasers.

"The directors and management here at the Ospreys realise that times are tough and that being a fan of any sporting team is an expensive business, so we wanted to do something that will make it that bit easier for everybody. With the reduced season ticket prices, watching the Ospreys next season can cost an adult as little as £10 per match, and with the free Juniors season ticket offer available for up to four children with one full ticket, it works out incredible value for a family day out at a time when money is tight for everybody.

"There is a lot to be excited about at the Ospreys ahead of the new season, with Scott Johnson firmly in place and the arrival of big name signings like Jerry Collins. With the cost of following the Ospreys now considerably reduced, we hope to reclaim our position as Wales' best supported next region."

Under the terms of the "Introduce a Friend' deal, any existing season ticket holder who introduces a new friend, will receive a 25% discount on the price they pay. That discount rises to 50% when two friends are introduced, and incredible 100% for three introductions, meaning that existing season ticket holders CAN get to experience top flight rugby without paying a single penny!

On top of that incredible offer, Ospreys bosses have moved to combat the credit crunch by cutting prices in all categories, with up to £20 off the price of all adult season tickets, and OAP's and student prices slashed by £35. In order to encourage the next generation of Ospreylians to develop the habit of watching live rugby regularly, for the first time ever, child & junior season tickets are being offered in the Family Stand at no cost whatsoever when issued in conjunction with an adult or OAP ticket.

Adult season tickets start at just £160, with OAP and students paying just £120, when purchased before the Early Bird Deadline of July 18^th, and the cut price season ticket prices are available to existing and new season ticket holders alike. Keeping the credit crunch in mind, full price tickets purchased after this date have been frozen at last year's cost.

The season ticket will be valid for 15 homes matches next season plus all home Ospreys / Development and Academy fixtures. In addition, all season ticket holders will receive free Ospreys membership, benefits of which include 10% discount at the Liberty Stadium, 10% off the purchase price for any additional matchday tickets, priority access to any potential knockout/play off matches and entry into a members draw for Wales international tickets.
