Active Swansea And The Ospreys Launch Adult Tag Events

Taking place on Wednesday 22^nd June, Wednesday 8^th July and Wednesday 22^nd July, between 7.00 and 9.00pm, the aim of the events is to encourage recreational participation in the game. Although the emphasis will be on fun and enjoyment, there will be a play-off amongst the participating teams with an eventual winner each week. The winning team at each event will receive 10 complimentary tickets for the Ospreys pre-season fixture against Gloucester at the Liberty Stadium over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Ospreys Elite Performance Director Andrew Hore said:

"We are always keen to promote the growth and development of the game in the region, we want as many people playing rugby as possible, in whatever form and whatever their age. By encouraging people to take an interest in rugby through events like this, we will hopefully see more people coming along and supporting the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium."

Businesses and workplaces are encouraged to enter a squad of 10, which must consist of a mix of males and females aged 16+, with a minimum of two women on the pitch during the game. The events will be semi competitive, with group games, plus semi and finals to be played on the night. The six aside games will be played on astro turf.
