Season ticket sales look set to soar

Managing Director, Roger Blyth, said:

"To be up more than twenty per cent on the same period last summer is fantastic and is far better than we could possibly have hoped for. We made a conscious decision to keep prices low, and with two additional fixtures next season, it adds up to even better value than ever before. On the back of the Magners League Grand Final success last weekend, we would anticipate a further surge in season-ticket sales over the coming weeks, which would be a fantastic boost. If we can keep up the level of sales we've seen so far, then we would be looking at record season-ticket levels for the 2010/11 campaign which would be a great boost for the players.

"The underlying philosophy at the Ospreys is to develop home-grown talent that will allow us to ensure long-term, sustainable success at the region, as well as continuing to provide the Welsh national team with quality players and coaches. We have made a commitment this summer to reinvest a significant amount of season-ticket revenue into elite player and coach development, which reaffirms our commitment, so all season-ticket holders can take great pride that they are directly helping to develop the next generation of Ospreys."

The value for money packages available now cover 17 home games, two more than this season following the addition of two Italian teams to the Magners League, with additional benefits including free membership to the brand new Ospreys Supporters Club.

Following the success of the scheme last year, the Introduce-A-Friend initiative will once again be operating, potentially allowing adult supporters the chance to watch the Ospreys all season completely free of charge, while all juniors (16 and under) can claim a free season-ticket in the Family Stand if accompanied by a paying adult.

Adult season-tickets start at just £165, with OAP's and students paying just £125, when purchased before the Early Bird deadline of July 18th.

"We have worked extremely hard to significantly improve the match day atmosphere here at the Liberty Stadium with the introduction of the Supporters Village which has proven a tremendous success. With the new Ospreys Supporters Club looking to work with us to continue improving the Ospreys experience, then the season-ticket looks even better value. With the cheapest adult season-ticket working out at less than £10 a game, they still offer considerable savings if you buy one knowing that you will be likely to miss a game or two so I would urge fans to consider buying one and being the ultimate supporters."

Elite Performance Director, Andrew Hore added:

"The more people we get attending matches at the Liberty Stadium, then the more explosive atmosphere we can create on game-day. It gives the players a real boost to know that people are behind them, and it's no coincidence that teams with a greater home support generally have greater success."
