Pre-match entertainment confirmed for Toulon match

With the Blackout confirmed once again for the next weekend's Heineken Cup clash with Toulon at the Liberty Stadium (Sat 22nd January, KO 3.30pm), Ospreys bosses have confirmed a programme of pre-match entertainment for the afternoon.
The Ospreys Supporters Choir and gymnasts from Swansea's West Street Gymnastics Club, will be performing ahead of kick-off to help create a special atmosphere.
Both groups were due to perform prior to last month's game against Munster only for adverse weather conditions to put an end to those plans, with only the choir able to travel, but the Ospreys are hoping it will be second time lucky.
Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, said:
"Everything was in place for a marvellous occasion at last month's Heineken Cup game against Munster, but the uncertainty caused by the bad weather meant that the pre-match entertainment we had planned couldn't go ahead.
"We've got a second chance with the Toulon game at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday so we have invited them along again to entertain the crowd pre-match."
It will be the choir's third performance at the Liberty Stadium their debut appearance coming ahead of the historic Ospreys V Australia clash in November 2006.
Originally formed that year in order to compete in the S4C television programme Codi Canu, theOspreys Supporters Choir continued performing once the series had finished in 2008 due to the desire of many members to keep the choir going in order to indulge their mutual love of rugby and singing!
On Saturday they will perform some familiar songs for supporters to join in, led by their new musical director Aled Hopton.
They will be joined pitchside ahead of kick-off by gymnasts from Swansea's West Street Gymnastics Club. Originally known as Gowerton Gymnastics Club, they were founded 34 years ago, growing as a club before moving to their current home in West Street. After receiving grant funding from the Welsh Assembly Government to refurbish their premises last year, they were formally reopened in September by Ospreys Tom Smith and Jonathan Spratt.
With the Ospreys Supporters Choir performing from approximately 2.55pm, there is no reason not to take your seat early ahead of the big game, making sure you make the most of the occasion.
