Through leisure rugby, the Ospreys and the WRU will develop an alternative pathway and programmes that will aim to create a whole new range of rugby disciplines. It is through our Participation Officers, that the Ospreys and the WRU will broaden the reach of its brand and enthuse the Welsh public to begin a lifetime involvement with the game of rugby union.

Objective

To maximize participation and fulfil potential in the game at all levels based on a policy of retention as well as recruitment.

The role of a Participation Officer:

• Promote the values of the welsh Rugby Union
• Take the game to the people and places and generate a sense of enthusiasm for the game.
• Delivering programmes that ensure high enrolment and retention figures.

Above all else, it is our role to ensure that everything we deliver is High Quality Player Centred Fun.
