Little Stars

Little Stars is a community based Programme for ages 3 to 7 and all abilities that focuses on the development of physical literacy skills in preparation for lifelong participation in sport.

The programme will aim to capture the imagination of young people and enthuse and engage the wider community in wales.

Little Stars is a programme for parent/guardian and child, and will encourage parents to develop their child's core skills such as ball handling and communication. Little Stars is a new national initiative for 2012 working on the FUNdementals, FUN being the emphasis. With the use of fantastic new equipment, parachutes and foam balls the participation officers will be developing the next generation of world class athletes.

Run over 6 weeks the child has the opportunity to work with their parent/guardian to develop their balance, co-ordination, agility etc and challenge themselves. Their progress will be recorded and rewarded with certificates and a sticker booklet to complete.

The 5 COGS of the areas of development within the programme are: Physical / Social / Personal / Creative / Cognitive

Including, challenging and supporting the whole child in sport

Children are encouraged to come back to more than 1 course as they can develop further and further. Parents must stay with child.

£30 per 6 week course
