With Scott Johnson now firmly settled in at the Liberty Stadium, and with the Ospreys having recruited well during the summer months, bringing in a mixture of world class international talent and promising Welsh youngsters, the forthcoming season promises to be an exciting one for the region.

The new-look Magners League season, with play-offs to decide the champions, will see the competition receive a fresh impetus as the Ospreys look to secure the crown for a third time, while a new format for the Anglo-Welsh Cup sees the region in an intriguing group with Bath, Northampton Saints, Leeds Carnegie and Newport Gwent Dragons. The Heineken Cup will once again see the Ospreys do battle with Leicester Tigers, while French side Clermont Auvergne and Italians Viadana are sure to provide a strong challenge to the region’s hopes of progressing into the latter stages of the competition.
