Ospreys in the Community has teamed up with Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board and Public Health Wales to encourage people to quit smoking.
On Wednesday, March 9th, National No Smoking Day, Ospreys players helped to spread the message with three special visits to pharmacies in the region to promote the ‘Start Here’ service.
Hanno Dirksen and Eli Walker visited Queen's Pharmacy in Skewen, Ryan Bevington and Matthew Dwyer visited Well Pharmacy in Maesteg while Aled Jenkins and Dafydd Howells were at Davies Pharmacy in Ystalyfera and chatted about the importance of quitting and the benefits of the pharmacy one to one service.
Aled said: “I flushed my grandmother’s cigarettes down the toilet when I was just ten years old to stop her smoking! It’s great that this sort of service is now widely available now to help people quit."
