The OitC #MoreThanRugby Charity Challenge

We are calling on local businesses across Ospreylia to embark on our fundraising challenge over the next month.

The Ospreys in theCommunity #MoreThanRugby Charity Challenge needs local companies and organisations to join forces with us to help raise money to support the work that we do across the Ospreys region.

So far, some great local businesses and organisations have got on board with the challenge, and will start their fundraising efforts on the 1st September, and we want you to join them!

The aim is for each team to raise £1,000 over the course of the month of September, and all money raised will be put back into our community projects which operate within the region, all of which support the four key areas of Sport, Education, Inclusion and Health.

The month of raising money allows each business to complete as many or as few challenges as they choose. This is your opportunity to get the whole team involved and to complete lots of different fundraisers together from mountain walking, sponsored silences, bake sales and much, much more! A pack will be provided to help get you started on your journey of fundraising across September.

Make sure you share your fundraising activities on social media, tagging in Ospreys in the Community and using #MoreThanRugby and we’ll share, publicising your business to our followers. With an average reach of over 300,000 individuals every month it’s a fantastic way to get your business noticed. There is also a fantastic money can’t buy prize for the winning team who raises the most funds by the end of September, as a thank you for your support.

Why Support Us?

Ospreys in the Community is a new, not for profit, foundation that works in close partnership with Ospreys Rugby. Whilst sharing a strong relationship and forming a key part of the Ospreys Strategy, Ospreys in the Community operates on an independent basis to the professional rugby organisation. Funded through donations, sponsorship and fundraising, the Charity provides opportunities for organisations and individuals to fulfil their community, charity and volunteering objectives.

Our principle aim is to use the power of sport and the Ospreys brand to empower people within Ospreylia to make positive life choices. Ospreys in the Community will play an important part in improving many people’s lives irrespective of age, ability or gender. Last year alone we engaged with over 46,000 people in our community.
