Ospreys in the Community are delighted to announce the appointment of Stephanie Jones as Business Development Manager.
Stephanie joins the Foundation fromSantander, where she was the University Relationship Branch Manager and a leading figure in administering the partnership between Santander and Swansea University having opened two new branches at the University in recent years.
Her role also saw her figuring as a key leader in community fundraising, as well as supporting numerous different projects within the bank, such as: employability, internships, student placements and entrepreneurship.
Bringing thirteen years of banking experience with her, Steph’s depth of knowledge will prove invaluable to Ospreys in the Community. The roles and responsibilities Jones has undertaken throughout her career are very applicable to her new position and will help to take OitC to the next level as Steph will play a key role in creating new partnerships with a range of public, private and third sector agencies that will allow the charity to increase its income and continue its growth.
Speaking about her new role, Steph remarked:
“I’m very excited to be joining Ospreys in the Community, it’s a natural progression from my previous job and this opportunity just seemed like the perfect fit for me. Doing something that gives back to the community is really important and rewarding for myself and with 45,000 people being engaged with the charity over the last 12 months it’s a chance to make a huge impact. I was also really impressed that supporting education was a priority for OitC as it’s something which links nicely with my previous higher education commitments.
“When you see other people’s lives changing from the work that you do, students benefiting from experiences that they never had access to before or wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for what we do, it makes it a really rewarding job.”
