Four tries for Klim

By Ospreys Rugby | 25/06/2018

Ospreys new boy Lesley Klim crossed for four tries as Namibia took another step towards Rugby World Cup 2019 qualification with an emphatic 118-0 over Tunisia at the weekend.

The Namibians ran in 18 tries, leading 52-0 at the break in Windhoek with Klim scoring two in each half.

They now top the table with a maximum 10 points from two matches.

Kenya come next with five points, followed by Morocco (three) and Zimbabwe (two) while Uganda and Tunisia are pointless.

The table toppers after the round-robin competition go to the World Cup in Japan while the runners-up get a second chance in the repechage stage.

Klim now has seven tries from nine test appearances since his international debut last June.

Namibia now face Morocco this weekend before playing against Zimbabwe and Kenya in August, after which Klim will report for duty at Llandarcy.

Meanwhile, Giorgi Nemsadze captained Georgia in Japan as they went down to a 28-0 defeat. The hosts led 9-0 at the break after a tight first half before pulling away in the third quarter, two converted tries taking them 23 clear inside 13 minutes of the restart. One more try, unconverted, rounded the win off to end Georgia’s summer series on a low note.
